The peer review process aims to provide objective and constructive assessments, ensuring that the content published is relevant and beneficial to the advancement of religious studies and global society.

The following are the stages of the peer review process in this journal:

  1. Article Submission
Authors submit previously unpublished articles through the online submission platform. Each article must include an abstract, keywords, and comply with the writing guidelines provided by the journal.

  2. Initial Screening by the Editor
Upon receiving the article, the journal editor conducts an initial screening to ensure that the article aligns with the journal's scope and adheres to the writing guidelines. Articles that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the author with clear explanations.

  3. Reviewer Assignment
After the article passes the initial screening, the editor assigns two or more reviewers with expertise in the field of religious studies and global society. Reviewers are selected based on their specialization in topics relevant to the submitted article.

  4. Peer Review Process
Reviewers assess the scientific quality of the article. They evaluate the following aspects:

    • Adherence to Sources: Does the article base its arguments on valid and relevant literature?
    • Significance: Can the research results have a significant impact on the study of religion and global society?

Reviewers provide constructive feedback, and if necessary, they may request revisions from the author.

  5. Editor’s Decision
Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editor makes a decision regarding the article. The decision may be one of the following:

    • Accepted without Revisions: The article is accepted for publication without any changes.
    • Accepted with Minor Revisions: The article is accepted with minor revisions that the author must address.
    • Accepted with Major Revisions: The article is accepted with substantial revisions that must be made before publication.
    • Rejected: The article is not accepted for publication.
  6. Revisions by the Author
The author receives feedback and recommendations from the reviewers. Articles requiring revisions are returned to the author with clear instructions on the changes to be made. The author is asked to revise the article according to the comments and resubmit the revised version to the editor.

  7. Revised Article Evaluation
Once the author resubmits the revised article, it is re-evaluated by the editor and reviewers to ensure that the requested changes have been properly implemented. If necessary, the revision process may be repeated.

  8. Final Decision
Once the article meets the established quality standards, the editor makes the final decision to publish the article. Accepted articles are processed for publication in the appropriate issue.
