


History of An-Nisa: Journal of Islamic Family Law
An-Nisa: Journal of Islamic Family Law was first published in Vol. 1 No. 1 (March 2024) by the Research Institute of Cendekia Gagayunan Indonesia. This journal was established as a scholarly platform dedicated to the study, analysis, and dissemination of research on Islamic family law and related issues. It seeks to facilitate academic dialogue and research collaboration among scholars, researchers, and practitioners in exploring the dynamic and evolving nature of Islamic family law across various cultural, social, and legal contexts.
From its inception, An-Nisa has welcomed contributions from a wide range of disciplines, including Islamic studies, law, sociology, anthropology, gender studies, and other relevant fields. The journal is committed to advancing knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of how Islamic family law operates in both theory and practice, as well as examining its implications for contemporary Muslim societies. With an average initial decision time of around 10 days and an acceptance rate of 45% of submitted manuscripts, An-Nisa maintains a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic quality.
To enhance visibility and accessibility, An-Nisa is indexed in several academic databases, including Google Scholar, World of Journals, Garuda, and Dimensions. These efforts aim to expand the journal’s readership and amplify the impact of its published research.
