Bhumiputra: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Global is committed to upholding the integrity of academic publishing. As part of this commitment, we have established a strict plagiarism policy to ensure the originality and ethical standards of all submissions.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the act of presenting someone else's work, ideas, or words as one's own without proper acknowledgment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Direct Plagiarism: Copying text or ideas verbatim from a source without citation.
  2. Self-Plagiarism: Reusing significant parts of one's own previously published work without proper citation.
  3. Paraphrasing Plagiarism: Rephrasing ideas from another source without adequate attribution.
  4. Mosaic Plagiarism: Interspersing phrases or sentences from various sources into one’s own work without proper citation.

Submission Requirements

All authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and free from plagiarism. By submitting a manuscript to Bhumiputra, authors affirm that:

  • The work has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
  • All sources of information, data, and ideas are appropriately cited.
  • Proper acknowledgment is given to the contributions of co-authors and other relevant parties.

Screening Process

To maintain the integrity of the journal, all submissions are subject to plagiarism screening using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding our acceptable threshold (20%, excluding references and quotations) may be rejected or returned for revision.

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the review or publication process, the following actions may be taken:

  1. Before Publication:
    • The manuscript may be rejected immediately.
    • Authors may be given an opportunity to revise and resubmit if the plagiarism is minor and unintentional.
  2. After Publication:
    • The article may be retracted, with a retraction notice published in its place.
    • The authors’ institution and funding agencies may be notified.

Appeals

Authors who believe their work has been unjustly accused of plagiarism may submit a written appeal to the editorial board. The appeal will be reviewed, and a final decision will be communicated promptly.

Ethical Responsibility

Bhumiputra expects all authors to adhere to the highest ethical standards in academic publishing. We encourage transparency and rigor in research to promote a culture of academic honesty and trust.

By submitting to Bhumiputra: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Global, authors agree to comply with this plagiarism policy.
